Abstract

The repair of the continuity defects resulted in service, and produced by erosion and corrosion phenomena, as cavities on the internal surface of the metallic pressure vessels, is determined by the necessity to rebuild the initial constructive shape, in order to assure the safety work conditions and the increasing of the pressure vessels lifetime. The paper presents a technology for repairing by welding using the post-welding heat treatment. This technology can be applied in the case of  thickwalls pressure vessels made from ferritic alloyed steels.
